Young Algerian aged 22 at the time of his disappearance. He disappeared between Tipaza and Cherchell in a boat that left heading for Alicante. His family has been looking for him ever since.

On board a zodiac, a very dangerous vessel on the Canary Islands route, he was with another fifty-one people when he disappeared. His family has been looking for him ever since.

Since he left Dakhla on 28th May with 36 other people, his family has not heard from him.

Moussa Diakite

He contacted his family on 4 April, the day he left in a boat with 47 people, including two women. His family has been searching for him since then.

Ibrahim Medjidi

He left Madegh beach in Oran (Algeria) in a zodiac on the night of March 24 2021. His family is still looking for him.

Sallé Fofana

He left Mauritania around 20th February, probably on a boat that disappeared in those days, although it is unknown.

Since he disappeared in Oran in January 2021, his family has been looking for him. He has a tattoo on his left chest in the shape of a heart.

Foray Fainah Koroma

From Mauritania, where he lived, he left on a boat for Spain on 16 January 2021. He was with other friends, on board with a total of 58 people. The whole vessel is still missing.

Milani disappeared in early 2021 in Nador. His family has been looking for him ever since.

The 18-year-old left Mauritania on the night of 28 December 2020 in a boat with 46 other people. His older brother has been looking for him ever since.

He left Mauritania on 28 December 2020. His family initially believed he may have arrived but are still searching for him today.

Alpha Oumar Kaba

He was known by the nickname "Le Géant". The exact date of his disappearance is unknown and no one knew he was travelling. His friends last saw him in Dakhla, but do not know if he left from there. His brother and friends have been looking for him ever since.

Koné Abdoul

The 29-year-old embarked somewhere in Morocco on 22 November 2020 with thirty-four other people. On that day, he had the last communication with his family, who have been looking for him ever since.

Yappi Rodrigue

Since he last spoke to his family on 21 November 2020, he has not been heard from again. His wife and sister continue to search for him, knowing that he was on board a boat that left Dakhla and disappeared on 22 November.

Kameni Idriss Carlos

He left on board a boat with fifty-nine people, including ten women and two children. His older brother has been looking for him ever since.

Mbaye Mbengue

He disappeared on board a boat in which he was with Touba Diop. It is not known how many other people were with them.

In August 2020, he was in Laayoune, last contacted by his family in October. He has been missing since then.

Takouleu Noussi Romeo

He left with thirty-one or fifty-nine people on one of the two boats that left at the same time. His older sister is looking for him.

Thierno Moussa

He left on one of two missing boats, one with fifty-nine people and the other with thirty-one. His brother has been looking for him ever since.

Bri Odio Ange Christelle

Her sister has been looking for her ever since the boat she was on with 59 other people disappeared.

Koita Djegui

From Mauritania, he left in a boat with 62 people that has not been heard from again.

Étienne Philippe

Also known as Simon Théa, he would have left in a boat with fifty-nine other people. Since that day, his uncle has been trying to find him alive.

Aziz Echikhe

In the early hours of 24 July, eleven people, including Aziz and a minor, set off on a journey on the Algerian route. Since then, their whereabouts have been unknown to their families.

Bontouraby Sylla

She left in a boat with twenty-nine other people at eight o'clock in the evening. After three weeks, one person survived and was rescued in Mauritania. Her godmother has been looking for her since her disappearance.

Kouider Daoujadi Khaled

Khaled left in a boat with eight men and a woman bounded to Spain. Their whereabouts are still unknown.

Djahida Meziani

Nineteen-year-old Djahida called her father repeatedly during the boat crossing. However, she eventually lost the signal. Despite rumours that they were rescued by the Moroccan authorities, neither she nor the other ten people on board have been heard from again.

Kacou Simon

Kacou is Ivorian. His sister has hardly any information about his disappearance. The last time she saw him alive was in a video where Kacou appeared to walk in a forest. He may have tried to cross to Spain by boat, but the information is unclear.

Soumahoro Assata

"Help me, I don't know what to do," said her fiancé. He had paid her for a trip to buy goods in Abidjan-Casablanca so she could resell them in the country, but she did not know that she would try to cross to Spain from Morocco. Her specific date of disappearance is unknown. She was on a boat that disappeared in March 2020 with around thirty-four and thirty-six people.

Balla Moussa Badji

He was in the military in Senegal and worked for a transport company in Morocco. His family has not heard from him since February-March 2020.

Donzo Ferebory

His family alleges that he may have set sail on a boat bound for the Canary Islands between 14 and 17 February 2020. Since then, he has been missing.

Aminata Kante

Since she left Dakhla on 14 February 2020 with 25 other people, her family has not heard from her.

Ablaye Dieme

The last time his family contacted him, he had just arrived in Tangiers from Fez (Morocco) to try to cross from there. His family knows he boarded a boat, but they haven't heard from him since.

Kechai Nourddine

His wife claims that Nourddine left on a boat with about eighteen people for Spain. He has not been heard from since.

Assane Ka

He wanted to cross, but it is unknown if he ever tried to. The last time his family contacted him was January 2019, but they are unsure about the specific day.

Soumahoro Makoko

She was in the city of Dakhla to head to the Canary Islands. Since her disappearance on Christmas Eve 2019, her brother has been unsure whether his sister could have lost her life at sea.

Toure Fatoumata

Fatoumata was travelling on the Canary Islands route. His boat left on 18 December 2019. On that day, several boats were rescued by the rescue services. However, she never showed any sign of life.

Kanaté Souleyman

Twelve-year-old boy who went missing, along with the rest of the people, in a small boat sailing the Canary Islands route. His mother and sister, who arrived in Las Palmas in another boat, never saw him alive again.

Sy Amadou

His sister contacted him for the last time at 8 pm on the evening of November 23rd. Amadou claimed to have left with 72 people in a boat to cross the Alboran Sea.

Mamadou Bah

He was in the north of Morocco, wanting to embark on the Alboran Sea at some point. His two brothers have not heard from him since then.

Mouna Brahim

A twenty-seven-year-old Algerian set off in a dinghy from the Algerian town of Mostaganem. Among the thirteen people on board was a sixteen-year-old minor. His mother claims that a woman with a Moroccan accent answered Brahim's phone. However, they still do not know if he survived.

Koudji Mehdi

A young Algerian man, his sister from France was worried about his health: Mehdi is diabetic. After getting on a boat in Tipaza (Algeria), he and the thirteen people (including two women) who accompanied him were never heard from again. Rumours played on the families' hopes that they had arrived in Cartagena, but the truth is that Mehdi has not yet shown any signs of life.

Abbou Abdenour

Abbou's brother claims that Abbou was travelling in a dinghy with 16 other people. According to his information, they left the Mostaganem area (Algeria), and two survivors were rescued by Maritime Rescue 50 kilometres from Almeria. However, there is no trace of the other 15, including Abbou.

Mariam Cissé

A 33-year-old Guinean woman gone missing in the Strait of Gibraltar after embarking on a toy boat. Neither she nor any of her companions gave signs of life.

Mogidish Sherif Mohamed Sofiane

Her sister only knows that Mohamed Sofiane set off from the Algerian coast looking for a better life. Not knowing who he was on the boat with, she had no information on the whereabouts of her missing brother.

Fode Soumaré

Soumaré's uncle has hardly any information about his disappearance. Between 26 and 28 October 2019, he claims Soumaré set out to cross the Alboran Sea with sixty people and has not heard from his nephew since.

Thiago Maurice

Thiago's brother knows he set off on Christmas Eve 2018, heading for Spain. However, there is no trace of him. The impossibility of reconstructing the tragedy in which he could have lost his life causes insufferable pain to his family.

Cissé Vakaba

Cissé set out to cross the Alboran Sea on December 19th, 2018. Since that day, his sister has had no contact with him. She fears that he may have lost his life at sea, but no one has been able to confirm it.

Aboubakar Gassama

The only information his brother has is that Aboubakar was in Morocco. He does not know the exact city where he may have disappeared, or if he even tried to cross to Spain. Despite this, his search does not cease.

Nesta Savane

According to the information available to the family, she would have embarked on a boat with her uncle, Ousman Touré. Their family has been looking for them, without being able to confirm whether they could have lost their lives in a tragedy.

Boubou Sylla

The young Ivorian was travelling in a boat with his brother and 57 other people. After being shipwrecked, the rescued survivors were taken to Melilla and Motril. His brother searched in both cities, without having found him to date.

Serif Mane

Serif Mane is Gambian. He disappeared somewhere between Tan tan and Dakhla on 7 August 2018. His family has been looking for him ever since.

Babacar Ndiaye

He left Morocco at midnight with thirteen people on board. He was twenty-six when he disappeared. His brother is still looking for him.

Larisa

Larisa was the smallest of all the siblings. She worked as a hairdresser in the Ivory Coast and her personal ambitions made her travel to Morocco to try her luck. Her presence made people nickname her "little star", because wherever she went she surrounded herself with many friends. They define her as affectionate and sociable, although they also highlight her great character: "there was no way to make her change her mind," they declare.

Diarra Kamatigui

The exact date of his disappearance is unknown, it was in 2017.

He was in Tangiers. It is unknown exactly when he disappeared or if he ever boarded a boat.

Alpha Abdoulaye Bah

He was in the city of Ghardaia (Algeria) and informed his family of his intention to go to Morocco. They have been looking for him ever since.

He left Tangiers in 2013 and has been missing since then. His brother is still searching for him. They haven't heard from him ever since.
